Beginning as The Handy Pilot LLC in 2021 and rebranding as SkyWest Handyman in 2025, our love for aviation inspires us to bring the same level of precision, reliability, and quality to every home project we undertake. What began as a way to earn some money during flight school turned into a passion beyond what we ever would have thought. We specialize in home/rental maintenance, custom closet installs, and furniture building. Meet the Guys Behind SkyWest Handyman
Jacob Chase
I've had a natural knack for building things as long as I can remember. I've always enjoyed understanding how things work, fixing what's broken, and improving what already exists. To help pay for flight school, I started The Handy Pilot, and along the way realized how similar aviation and hands-on work really are. Both require patience, preparation, and attention to detail. You follow a process, you respect the work, and you don't rush it. This mindset still guides how I approach every project today.
Cameron Hartwick
Growing up, good and honest work was the only way to go. Learning the trades from my dad and grandpa, I grew an interest in all things mechanical. My aviation journey started as a hobby to challenge myself and chase a lifelong dream, further establishing my drive to always strive for excellence into everything that I work on. After college, I went into property management, working with large Section 8 multi-family properties. Eventually, the idea of SkyWest Handyman was born as a way to combine my business and management skills with the hands-on satisfaction of a job well done.
